EU CopeCheck scores the European Union's 27 member states and their legislation on how much they're coping about AI displacement, demographic collapse, and structural economic decline.
The Thesis
The EU was a demographic and economic time bomb before AI arrived. Aging populations, youth brain drain from east to west, diverging unit labour costs, and a services-heavy economy that's maximally exposed to automation. AI didn't create these problems — it accelerated them.
The Three Lenses
Every EU law is scored through three structural cope frameworks:

The Demographic Angle
Youth migration within the EU is the continent's biggest hidden cope mechanism. When Romania's youth unemployment "falls," it's because the young left. When Germany's labour market looks "tight," it's propped up by imported workers doing jobs that'll be automated. The EU counts this as "freedom of movement working as intended" — that IS the cope.
Methodology
Country scores use four dimensions weighted toward demographic reality:
Overall = (Preparedness × 0.25) + (Leader Cope × 0.20) + (Exposure × 0.25) + (Demographics × 0.30)
Demographics gets the highest weight because it's the ticking bomb underneath everything else.
Law scores weight unit cost dominance highest (40%) because it's the most fundamental reality being denied.
